Interested in building and leading a team in a newly formed digital division? You’ll have overall responsibility for developing insights around products and services, driving and influencing the course of direction!

This team is essential to the journey - the head of Data Analytics being critical to building out the Analytics team and thus guide the decision-making process of the business through the results gathered!

As the Head of Data Analytics, you’ll be reporting directly to the Director the division, guiding him and helping forge the Data Analytics roadmap and mission.

 

Responsibilities

  • In the early days to establish what data and analytics are available within the company to determine and create future data and insights requirements which need to be created to more effectively run the omnichannel business
  • Identify and take stock of data; setup data architecture and standards (governance); manage, maintain and expand data collection
  • Define and manage the multi-channel customer segmentation and our multi-channel go-to-market strategy
  • Close collaboration with other leaders in the company to identify, influence and drive business and strategy decisions
  • Set focus, priorities and budgets to build out analytics capabilities and building a data driven decision making culture
  • Attract, develop and retain team members to meet current and future analytics organizational needs – this includes identifying, hiring and managing third party vendors which would provide analytics support
  • Define and shape digital team overall culture. This also includes spreading a culture of data driven decision making across the wider organization

 

Requirements

  • 7+ years in the analytics field
  • Excellent people leadership, creative, and analytical skills
  • Facility with statistics and mathematics and proven ability to lead highly analytical teams and project work
  • Strong SQL (MySQL) and Excel skills
  • Analytics tools such as R, SAS, SPSS, etc.
  • Development language such as Python or other to automate reporting a further plus
  • Preferred experience with web tracking technology (Google Analytics, SiteCatalyst etc.)
  • Experience with developing and refining actionable customer segmentation models
  • Ability to think through complex business problems, solve them by analysing a large amount of data, and then communicate these in simple, straightforward manner
