We’re seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer to take our established DevOps function to the next level! Reporting into the Chief Architect and collaborating with four other DevOps Engineers and hands on leading from the trenches.

Requirements

• AWS - focus on high availability, reliability, automation, security, best practices
• CI/CD skills (E.G Jenkins, Gitlab)
• Strong Linux systems knowledge
• Docker & Kubernetes
• Ansible & Terraform
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to act responsibly and prioritise tasks effectively
• Database experience (E.G MongoDB, PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch)
• Scripting skills in Bash and Python (or Ruby, Node, Golang, Scala ect)

Role

• Responsibility for designing deployment flows from Dev, QA, UAT, to Live
• Design and articulate scalable deployment solutions for an enterprise grade technology stack with a focus on CI/CD
• Manage large AWS estate with serverless first approach in mind
• Work with Architecture team to define and plan team goals and project deliverables.
• Mentoring team members in DevOps best practices and procedures of automation.
• Accountable for ensuring teams output is of the highest standard
• Ensure solutions are security focused from the outset
