Interested in building and leading a team in a newly formed digital division? You’ll enable the design, development, execution of our eBusiness Platform using Service Oriented Architecture.

 

We’re a prestigious European supply’s business that have recently embarked on a digital transformation. This team is essential to the journey - The Lead Solutions Architect being critical. You’ll play a key part in defining, shaping, and crafting solutions using best technology practices.

As the Lead Solutions Architect, you’ll be reporting directly to the Director of the division, guiding him and helping forge the architecture and technical roadmap, by working with various stakeholders and teams from the wider digital business.

 

Some responsibilities

  • Planning and research to inform the direction of our Technology needs
  • Lead all aspects of research engagements from planning and scoping to execution and reporting
  • Build up and manage a team of full-time employees or third-party vendors or both for the technology and development functions
  • Work with development teams to ensure that integration elements or fit-for-purpose solutions
  • Works with the Product Owner to understand business requirements so that solution options that are recommended, provide the best fit against requirements
  • Resolving any technical design issues that may arise during the development lifecycle

 

Requirements

  • E-commerce experience is essential
  • Proven ability to identify and analyse systems, technology and operational needs. Then define strategies for meeting them and execute against these strategies
  • Strong development skills including (but not limited to) PHP and Magento
  • Design and implementation of Relation and noSQL databases
  • Proven experience at setting up and leading development activities using different development methodologies to best meet customer requirements
  • Agile methodologies; SCRUM or Kanban a plus
  • Keeps up to date with trends and developments in relevant technologies
