Role

• As a Technical Architect, you will help guide the Engineering teams in building the platform to be future proof, with scalability & upgradability being priority.
• Collaborate with the wider engineering teams to assist them on best practises in application design and on technology choices during implementation.
• Taking architectural ownership and focussing on improving the wider platform.
• Be a technologist who still enjoys coding - there are no expectation for you to work on critical features, though you will be required to understand the code base by writing code every now and then.

Requirements

• Strong Ruby on Rails or Python background
• Good understanding of databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB)
• Love designing and working in TDD, DDD, OOP
• Understanding of design patterns used in web API’s
• Experienced technical leader – helping others understand and implement solutions.
• Exposure to infrastructure having worked with AWS or Google Cloud (GCP)
• Take pride in delivery and be results orientated
