As the VP of engineering, you’ll be leading the tech team. Reporting to the CEO and working underneath our CTO, with responsibility of delivering the core business services.

Responsibilities

• Collaborating with our CTO for the design and architecting of the platform, services and client software
• Collaborating with various team members to formulate the tech roadmap
• Managing, prioritising and optimising to achieve said roadmap
• Building, leading and developing the engineering team
• Defining and implementing development process to power the company

Requirements

• Inspirational technology leader equipped to motivating a growing team
• Able to suss out blockers to the engineering teams
• Proficient planner and able to take corrective action and communicate any changes
• Strong software development capabilities (Ideally with go, nodejs, ruby or elixir)
• Experienced in aspects including distributed systems and fault-tolerant systems, cloud native architectures, infrastructure, realtime systems
• High proficiency in designing, managing and maintaining infrastructure

• Being an active contributor to the open source community is beneficial
